Hatch Show Print

| poster design, linoleum carving, illustration, letter press printmaking |

During my internship at Hatch Show Print, I embarked on a journey through the world of traditional letterpress printing. This immersive experience allowed me to not only gain a profound understanding of the process but also to craft my own posters for Hatch's esteemed clientele. Working alongside the senior designers on staff, I had the opportunity to collaborate and gain valuable insight from their knowledge.

Throughout my time at Hatch Show Print I became extremely passionate in the art of letter press printing. There was something deeply gratifying about the hands-on process, such as skillfully mixing ink to achieve the Pantone colors required for each project, exploring the vast drawers of typefaces and thoughtfully selecting the perfect typeface for every poster. Typesetting with my own hands was an invaluable experience that surpassed anything a computer screen could offer. It not only expanded my understanding of design principles but also honed my graphic design skills to a level I could not have fathomed before.
